    • Estudio estructural y polimórfico de compuestos con potencial aplicación biológica, fotofísica y tecnológica: heterociclos nitrogenados, complejos de coordinación con ligandos derivados de azoles y óxidos inorgánicos derivados de perovskita ABO3

      El proyecto de investigación que se plantea se encuentra enmarcado dentro de la Cristalografía aplicada en la ciencia de materiales. La importancia de este trabajo radica en la estrecha relación que existe entre la estructura atómica y molecular de los compuestos con sus propiedades. En este sentido, el proyecto plantea el estudio de algunas familias de compuestos Ba(Y,Sr,Sc)Mn(R,MT,In,Ga,Al)O3, La4(Ba,Sr,Ca,R)(Cu5-xMTx)O13+δ y RBa2Cu3O6+δ (R = tierras raras, MT = metal de transición), para las cuales se ha evidenciado la susceptibilidad de las propiedades electroquímicas, magnéticas e incluso ópticas con variaciones estructurales [2-3, 5-7, 20-22]. Por ello, comprender desde el punto de vista cristalográfico esta relación estructura-propiedad puede llevar a la capacidad de incluso poder buscar durante los procesos de síntesis algunas propiedades estructurales características que puedan llevar a aplicaciones específicas. Adicionalmente, y considerando un impacto de la línea de investigación en el apoyo al trabajo que se desarrolla en el Departamento de Química, se plantea el estudio estructural de algunos sistemas moleculares heterocíclicos nitrogenados y compuestos de coordinación con ligandos azoles sintetizados por los grupos de investigación del Departamento [8-18]. Con ello, se busca que la línea de Cristalografía y Química de materiales, sea un apoyo en el entendimiento de las propiedades en estado sólido que presentan algunos de estos compuestos tipo N-(pyrrol-2-yl)aminas,  benzimidazoles e incluso polímeros de coordinación de metales de transición.

    • Estudio estructural y polimórfico de compuestos con potencial aplicación biológica, fotofísica y tecnológica: heterociclos nitrogenados, complejos de coordinación con ligandos derivados de azoles y óxidos inorgánicos derivados de perovskita ABO3

      El proyecto de investigación que se plantea se encuentra enmarcado dentro de la Cristalografía aplicada en la ciencia de materiales. La importancia de este trabajo radica en la estrecha relación que existe entre la estructura atómica y molecular de los compuestos con sus propiedades. En este sentido, el proyecto plantea el estudio de algunas familias de compuestos Ba(Y,Sr,Sc)Mn(R,MT,In,Ga,Al)O3, La4(Ba,Sr,Ca,R)(Cu5-xMTx)O13+δ y RBa2Cu3O6+δ (R = tierras raras, MT = metal de transición), para las cuales se ha evidenciado la susceptibilidad de las propiedades electroquímicas, magnéticas e incluso ópticas con variaciones estructurales [2-3, 5-7, 20-22]. Por ello, comprender desde el punto de vista cristalográfico esta relación estructura-propiedad puede llevar a la capacidad de incluso poder buscar durante los procesos de síntesis algunas propiedades estructurales características que puedan llevar a aplicaciones específicas. Adicionalmente, y considerando un impacto de la línea de investigación en el apoyo al trabajo que se desarrolla en el Departamento de Química, se plantea el estudio estructural de algunos sistemas moleculares heterocíclicos nitrogenados y compuestos de coordinación con ligandos azoles sintetizados por los grupos de investigación del Departamento [8-18]. Con ello, se busca que la línea de Cristalografía y Química de materiales, sea un apoyo en el entendimiento de las propiedades en estado sólido que presentan algunos de estos compuestos tipo N-(pyrrol-2-yl)aminas,  benzimidazoles e incluso polímeros de coordinación de metales de transición.
